Lighting Practice – Portrait Sunset

I’ve been super busy lately.  But I finally finished setting up a new laptop and I have been able to process some pictures from an off camera lighting shoot.  A few of us from the Edmonton Photography Club meet to practice sunset portraiture.  We kept it simple.  We only used one light and a reflector.   There is some room for improvement but the meet up went well.

  1. I like these a lot, especially the top two and bottom two. They are attractive pictures, and they work well as portraits because they are flattering to the subject without being distortingly so. (I say that, of course, without knowing any of these people.) They make the subjects look appealing, yet you also get the sense that if you met them, the people in the photos would be the same people who walked in the door.
