Kim and I hope everyone has finished their holiday shopping and are relaxing and enjoying some eggnog (or whatever your treat of choice is). Here in Edmonton it’s -28 C with the windchill and I am enjoying the challenges of winter photography. I’m glad I’m done my shopping, because the cold feels colder when your running from store to store. 🙂
As many of you know, we’ve been working on a fun new project that required us to create a temporary studio space. Even though we had finished shooting we decided to keep the studio up for a week. It was a chore to create studio space in an apartment, so we wanted to take full advantage of the situation and practice portraiture. This set us a week behind our schedule but turned out to be a really good idea. Plus, in Canada background paper isn’t cheap, so it felt good to get more use out of our set.
Aside from being busy doing the typical holiday stuff, we’ve been planning for June 22, 2013. Most of our friends and family already know why this is an important date to us, but many you probably have no idea. In October, on our anniversary, I took the plunge and asked Kim to marry me. Surprisingly she said yes 😉 Don’t be surprised when there is a drought of blog posts around this date. Please forgive us for being busy around that time 🙂
I happy to share a few pictures we took in our make shift studio. Kim is happy because now we have some nice photos to share with our family and friends. I still prefer my goofy iPod photos… but I guess I understand 😉
