This was the only picture I was able to find on this beautiful spring day. Landscapes can be a challenge to photograph during this time of year since everything is painted green. I spent hours looking for the “perfect frame” and right after pressing the button I wasn’t convinced it was a keeper.
As it turned out, I have a special affinity toward this picture since it was the first one taken with my Yashica Mat that truly made me smile. I was struggling with the camera and likely expecting “too much too soon” from my new 1960’s camera. It can be a challenge learning and working with a new format, so after scanning this film you can imagine my joy 🙂
